This morning, after weeks of countless yet beautifully logical excuses for my lack of exercise, I decided to run. I knew better than to expect too much out of my vacationing legs, but my goodness I was a sad sight for the neighbors. As I finished my shamefully long one and a half mile loop, I noticed how clearly I could see into the woods near my house. The edge is usually a screen of layered vines and leaves, but today from the road I had a clear view into the trees.
Winter reveals what was hidden by spring.

Icy roads cancelled church today, so I layered up and set out to take a picture of the woods. I’m embarrassed at how sore my legs are today after my little running adventure yesterday. After having fun maneuvering three jackets an umbrella and my camera these are what I came away with.
The top one is the view from the road and below is one from inside the woods.
I love God's trees.
